Letras de I Wish I Had Someone to Love Me

The Dubliners

Well I wish I had someone to love me
Someone to call me her own
Someone to sleep with me nightly
I′m weary of sleeping alone
I wish I had someone to love me
Someone to call me her own
Someone to sleep with me nightly
I'm weary of sleeping alone

Meet me this evening by moonlight
Meet me tonight all alone
I have a sad story to tell you
I′m telling it under the moon

Well I wish I had someone to love me
Someone to call me her own
Someone to sleep with me nightly
I'm weary of sleeping alone

Tonight is our last time together
Nearest and dearest must part
The love bond that held us together
Is shredded and torn all apart

Well I wish I had someone to love me
Someone to call me her own
Someone to sleep with me nightly
I'm weary of sleeping alone

I wish I had ships on the ocean
Laced them with silver and gold
I would sail to the arms of my true love
A lassie just nineteen years old

I wish I had someone to love me
Someone to call me her own
Someone to sleep with me nightly
I′m weary of sleeping alone

I wish I had wings of the swallow
Flying out over the sea
I would fly to the arms of my true love
And bring her home safely to me

Well I wish I had someone to love me
Someone to call me her own
Someone to sleep with me nightly
I′m weary of sleeping alone
Oh I wish I had someone to love me
Someone to call me her own
Someone to sleep with me nightly
I'm weary of sleeping alone
I′m weary of sleeping alone

That's Romeo McKenna

Well, we′d like to remember our old friend Ronnie Drew now
Ronnie of course was a founder member of The
Dubliners along with Barney, Ciaran and Luke
And Ronnie died just a little over a year ago
Ronnie was a great character as well of course and he
He lent a lot to the world of folk music with his
Unique voice and his great way of putting across a song
And he's sadly missed by us all of course
And I think wherever Irish music is played around the world
The name Ronnie Drew will never be forgotten, I′m sure of that

Well, thank you

The day after Ronnie's funeral I woke up thinking
About him as indeed I'm sure we all were
But I was wondering in a quizzical kind of way about
The kind of heaven that Ronnie might be in and
Whether this heaven would meet with his expectations
I wrote a little poem called
