I'm going to sing a corrido that many will remember.
Step at the El Naranjo ranch, municipality of Terán
At Juan Pérez's ranch they had happily strolled
But in the heat of the drinks, Lupe has hit Manuel
Lupe says to Manuel: "I know you are brave
We'll see each other again, remember there's something pending."
At La Noria ranch they met again
Manuel shot with an advantage, he was afraid of him from the front
At the Naranjo ranch a dance was being held
At about ten o'clock at night Manuel killed Lupe
Manuel Cárdenas arrived at the famous and said dance
Lupe was already drunk, he approached him to complain
Guadalupe was determined, he was a man without suspicion
He hit him with the gun and Manuel fell to the ground.
Lupe approaches to kill him, she always trusted her luck
But Manuel shoots him, he gave him a fatal bullet.
Paloma carries a message, in case you go south
This is how Guadalupe Betancourt's life ended.
